Professional Background
I began my career in 1978 as a State Farm Claims Representative in Salt Lake City.
In 1982, I moved to Colorado Springs and became an independent State Farm Insurance Agent. I started the agency from scratch and have been in business since that time.
Community Involvement
Chairman, Cheyenne Mountain High School Boosters 2000 - 2002; Member, Country Club of Colorado.
Personal Interests
I enjoy outdoor activities such as golf, mountain biking, hiking. I also like the time I spend weight-lifting and keeping myself physically fit.
Significant Accomplishments
I am proud that my insurance agency has grown from ground zero in 1982 to what is now the second largest State Farm Agency in Colorado Springs.
I have two fantastic sons who graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School and now attend the University of Colorado at Boulder.
I recently completed a major remodel of an older home in the Broadmoor area that restored the elegance and simple charm of the residence. Like most major construction efforts this project took about 12 months of dedication, persistence and patience.
In 1983 I ran the Pikes Peak Ascent; 13 miles of grueling uphill running.

Personal Statement
My focus is on taking care of people. Specifically, making sure they are protected properly from the types of human trauma that can occur in a person's life. I focus on the basics of life, health, property and medical coverage.
I have a wonderful staff who help me serve others. Kelly Avila has been with me since 1997 and Kirsten Reece, who has been a team player, has been with me since 1998.
All of us know the importance of customer service and we work hard to develop and maintain personal, caring, long term relationships.
