Professional Background
I have a total of 20-years of practice in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Flight Medicine, and Holistic Medicine.
Also know as Doc T., I am a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) licensed to prescribe medications, and perform surgeries as well as perform manual adjustment therapies. I use complementary therapies in my office. I also earned a diploma and board certification in Holistic Medicine in 2000, sponsored by the American Board of Holistic Medicine (ABHM), and the University of Colorado School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine.
A retired Lt. Colonel from the Air Force, I have globally practiced Emergency Medicine, and Family Practice. I have also been Chief of Staff at Lowry, AFB, Colorado, and Laughlin AFB Texas Hospital. I served on aircraft accident investigative boards as a rated aerobatic pilot and family doctor well schooled in "Human Factors" after graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with Honors in Psychology.
Hobbies
I enjoy church and spiritual time with family on Sundays, boating and fishing with my wife and kids, writing folk songs and playing guitar, planting vegetable gardens and harvesting fresh produce! I also enjoy attending air shows.

I am proud to be a retired LT COL. of the United States Air Force. When I retired I was serving as a Flight Surgeon and Chief of Staff. I have be awarded commendation medals for Meritorious Service as well as several achievement awards, while in the Air Force.
Personal Statement
I was born in Westpoint, New York, and raised in a military family. I was an avid athlete in high school (football QB, baseball pitcher, swimmer and lifeguard) and have always been interested in optimizing human health and performance in sports.
I am an outdoorsman who enjoys boating and fishing with my wife, Dulcie Ewing, and my five children. When we are not fishing, I also enjoy writing songs on my guitar and planting gardens.
I settled in Colorado Springs sharing Integrated Health Solutions office with Sylvia Philpy, RN, MS, NNP. I credit Ms. Philpy as one of my mentors and teachers in complementary therapy and healing synergy where 1+1=3, or the sum of the parts together in my practice is more than any single therapy added alone. I believe Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) type healthcare is the future of medicine.
I treat patients of all ages, with or without insurance, accept cash paying patients, and welcome walk-ins. My office is located at 2130 Hollowbrook Drive (one block east of Academy and Lehman intersection). I work Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. offering "user friendly" hours to the community. My office closes on Sunday and Monday for church and quality family time.
